Travel Meeting

Just got off the phone after a 45 min travel conference with our coordinator and other families traveling in our group. Took a lot of notes, breathed in a paper bag a few times, and am now making copies like crazy. Of all the things we take, our paperwork (in my opinion) is the most important.

We learned today that when we get off the plane in Nanning on Monday afternoon at 3 (China time), we'll go straight to the Civil Affairs office to get Lia before the workers leave for the day. We skipped the front portion of the trip (a few days in Beijing) and are flying into Hong Kong instead. So our flight plans are cutting it a little too close for comfort. My friend, Ginny, likened this journey to the show The Amazing Race. It's becoming more like that than I hoped. Please pray for on-time flights (starting from the US and ending in Nanning) b/c any delay could mean a delay in getting Lia.
Off to down another cup of coffee and make more copies. :)
6 days to Lia (I hope!)

I love the photo of the table covered in paperwork. Just remember God is covering all this with even more grace!

  2. OH goodness Angela! You'll not have to wait for your Lia! That's great...and I will pray it all goes ON TIME the WHOLE WAY to her. Oh...I'm so excited for you. Yipes...what in the heck is all that paper? I wonder if I have all that stuff? I hope we find out soon. Although, it doesn't look like the last batch was our Izabella Time. So, we pray for the next and take comfort in knowing it's HIS perfect timing.

Hang in there--and do get some drugs to sleep on the plane--so you can be as refreshed as possible when you get to your Lia. :) I hear that trip (half way arond the world takes a toll on your little bodies...) :) I'll pray you get rest...:)
