But inevitably, each night, there are tears at bathtime.
"But Mommy, I don't wanna taka baf. I'd wather be duhty."
And so it was last night. After an afternoon of pedaling his race car, skateboarding, and playing soccer, a no-bath night was not an option. As I left his room to start the bath water, the protesting began.
Then, things became quiet.
A few minutes later, he appeared around the corner ready for his "bath."
He had completely undressed himself and then re-dressed in his swimsuit and swimshirt. The only thing missing was the sunscreen. After a few laps in the "pool," he got washed up and went on his merry way.
I'm not sure what Alex is really going to end up teaching his little sister but I have a feeling things are going to be very interesting around here. :)
