The other day, when I returned from my 251st visit to Walmart (but who's counting?), I discovered that the kids had been painting sun catchers to hang in Lia's windows.
And yesterday, my 9 year-old daughter, Lauren, wrote this poem for her new little sister:
Adoption
I'm adopting someone cool,
Someone special, someone sweet.
I'm adopting someone
That I cannot wait to meet!
This someone I'm adopting
Is so far apart
But she is also very close,
Right inside my heart!
I'm so very happy,
As happy as can be
That my new little sister
Is coming home to me.
We have re-done a room
Down the hall from my own
I think I'm very lucky
That she's moving to my home!
I'm sure I'm still lacking a few things in preparation for Lia. But one thing that no one around here seems to lack is love for that little girl!
"I will sing of the LORD"s great love forever..." Psalm 89:1
Ahhhh. Angela this post is so simply, magnificantly SWEET! The sundancers...AND the poem! Oh how little Lia is going to cherish both these things for sure! You are truly blessed and so is Lia and isn't that just how God would have it...YES it is!
ReplyDeleteHow Beautiful!! I love the poem and the suncatchers are precious! Lia Kate is such a blessing already, I can't wait to squeeze her.....she's already so loved! God is sooo good isn't he?

How wonderful that your kids are so excited. That is the blessing of having kids spaced out in age. It's awesome to see how happy and excited they get.
ReplyDeleteYou must be so excited. Can you still get a few things for me?
