Almost There...

We've finished organizing all our paperwork, almost finished packing, and will spend today getting the kids (and house) ready for Grandma/Nanna time! The rest of our group leaves today for Beijing, so our prayers are with them for safe travel and a good time this weekend.

We're preparing to leave early Saturday morning and spend our entire weekend in airports and on planes. I don't know much about flying but I imagine that 2 weeks on 10 planes flying halfway around the globe and back should help us accumulate a few frequent flyer miles!

Everything seems to be coming together. I can't believe it's almost time. And I really can't believe that we are going to meet Lia in 4 days!

We found out that there will be another family staying in our province with us. They are adopting a 5 year old little girl. We are so thankful to be able to share that time with them and look forward to meeting their little girl too.

Well, off to pack more...

  1. What great news you'll have another family to travel with! And that Lia will have someone that is from her province too! I'm sure this is comforting to you.

I will pray for your safe journey half way around the world! When I think of making this journey to get our Izabella (of course once we get a referral) it is so magical to me. You're in for a very magical experience. Will it be tiring, yes. Will it be stressful, at times. Will it be emotional, most definately! But, what an amazing thing you're doing! She is sure to bring you to a place you never dreamed of, touch parts of your heart you never knew you had--and I for one can not wait to follow along with you. And pray for you and Lia.

God's speed and may He hold you in the palm of His hand--always.

    Love,
    Lisa A

  2. wow what a blessing that another family will be there. Bond with them quick cause y'all might really need each other. The plane rides were not that bad and this is coming from a chick who has flown once when I was 12 and 1 time this past summer for a mission trip. The last leg of our trip home was whenI was going to jump out of the airplane. (no shoot needed just take me Jesus). My advise Watch your relationship with your husband. satan will use anything he can to make you think you are not called by God.Remember YOU ARE! All of us are called to help the Widows and the orphans so throw that back in his stupid face. Okay. Have a great trip.
