In case you hadn't heard...

....there's a major storm on the way that is going to paralyze 30 + states across the US.

And just for kicks, we thought we'd check Continental's flight schedule for tomorrow.  That is, the day we were supposed to fly from Beijing to Newark if we had waited out those 4 extra days in China.

You know where I'm going with this, don't you?

Cancelled.

(Preemptively, of course, to avoid travelers being stranded).

Of course.

Our trip back last weekend now seems like a walk in the park when compared to the thought of dealing with a second cancellation.

And tonight I am more thankful than ever to be home.

  1. God always has an amazing plan, doesn't He? I'm so glad you guys are home safe and sound and learning to be a family of 8 (plus giant dog)! It's been so fun following your journey. Luke and I were talking last night about how happy Michael must be to be back in his own bed :)
Can't wait to see how the rest of God's amazing plan plays out at home.

  2. His ways are so much higher! We have so many stories like that pertaining to Daniel - travel stories, cleft surgery stories, moving stories.... Just increases our trust and gives us a tiny glimpse of our part of the Story. Praying for transitions, relationships, bonding, and all the rest to bring Him glory and increase your love.
