Tomorrow I do one of the most difficult things yet for this adoption.
I pack up 2 tiny suitcases: one red, one pink.
I pack up a handful of toys and a bag of snow clothes.
I load up the car and I take my two littlest treasures to meet Grandma and PopPaw.
And I say goodbye.
For two and a half weeks.
Two and a half weeks without a pirate to make me walk the plank.
Two and a half weeks without a ballerina to hide from the camera.
Or play the diva...depending on her mood.
Two and half weeks without a Jedi to battle or a superhero to save me from harm's way.
Two and a half weeks without these sweet faces and their "little old married couple" ways to simultaneously drive me crazy and brighten my day all at the same time.
Two and a half weeks.
Love you guys. (Take it easy on Grandma, OK?)
Oh my gosh, I'm so sad for you! I hate, hate, hate leaving my kids behind...even for a day!
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you! You'll be back home before you know it.
Sniff-sob-cry-cry-snot bugger- snot bugger. Oh Angela, that has got to be so hard! I will pray for you this morning my friend. We'll drown those sorrows into a few overpriced lattes in just a few days!
ReplyDeleteyep- this is the hardest part (found you through sonia's blog:)
ReplyDeleteit literally would make me sick each time we left to leave my other kiddos-- but once you're on that plane-- it's all good!!!! can't wait to follow your journey!!!
I feel for you, big time. I couldn't leave my Gabby behind. We were hoping for a Christmas travel so I could take her, but that didn't happen. My husband will travel with you all to get our daughter in China. Your kids will do JUST FINE. They will have a great vacation with the grandparents. Go and enjoy yourself! Take pictures! I will be thinking about you! jenn

:( I am praying for you that God's peace will flood your heart and for His hand of protection over your pirate, ballerina, and the rest of the Taylor clan.
ReplyDeleteShare all those feelings!! Can't wait to meet you in China!
ReplyDeleteAs excited as I am for you to meet precious Lily, this was the part I was dreading for you. I pray God will provide you peace as you are separated from your Jedi and diva.
ReplyDelete(And was that the kitchen table she was standing on?)
Kristi, shhhhh. Bad parenting, I know. But I like the lighting over there. She's so tiny and I'm so tall it's the only way to get a good angle on her :)
ReplyDeleteI hate that you have to leave them, but we'll enjoy the jedi and ballerina and love on them lots and lots while they are here. :)
