This afternoon, Maggie took us to a museum featuring the work of local artisans. There were some very pretty things in there and I even got to have a cup of jasmine/rose tea made by one of the shop workers. But to be honest, I'm about museumed out and ready to think about heading home. Tomorrow we go to the Consulate to take our oath signifying that all the information stated on our paperwork is true. Another step closer...
I'm sure that there are four little loves and lots of friends and family who are ready for your return, too! Looking forward to seeing you and meeting Lia! Our girls love to see all of your pictures when we look each day on your blog (unfortunately, Ryan doesn't seem as interested -- but he may be someday when we arrange the marriage :) ) Love, Christy (and the rest of the Goehners)

How come y'all get to see all this stuff. WE were only taken to the zoo and shopping and to the japanese restaurant in the hotel. Oh we did get to see the consulate and the medical exam room maybe that was part of the tour lol. I did not know that Guangzhou was pretty. Thanks for all the pictures. But I bet you are ready to come home. 2 weeks does not seem long unless your in a strange country with stange food. Strange but nice(most of the time) people makes you get a little feel of what our kids go through when they get to their new homes. They just don't know how to process it like grown ups do.
ReplyDeleteYour blog has been so much fun to follow, but now we are all ready for you to bring that little girl home!! Your kids were absolutely buzzing about Friday's arrival. I asked Michael what the plans were for the week. He gave me a very brief (very male) summary of each day, then concluded with "and Friday's the best day of all!" It was obvious that he didn't mean the best day of the week, but the best day of ALL! We're already praying for your safe travel and for God to heap mercy and patience on Lia for the flights. See you soon - it's so nice to type that!
