I've always found language development in kids to be fascinating and to watch Lia learn English is no exception. She's learned how to say a few words: "bye-bye" and the all- important "more" and this afternoon at lunch she said "apple" on her own while I was cutting one up for the kids. Of course we all broke out in cheers and applause and she was all over that!
I had to coach her a little to get her to do it for the video (and yes, yet another moment recorded for posterity takes place in the high chair):
I'm thinking that for the amount of time she held that first syllable, she could be developing quite the southern drawl...
Too cute!!! And I love those southern ladies:)
