Pitchers and Catchers Reporting...

It's finally here.

Baseball season.

He's talked about it for as long as I can remember.

His first word was "ball."

Well...actually his first words were more like "Can I watch a show?" followed soon after by "Is it snack time?" but then...then...it was "ball."

And whenever he's asked what he wants to be when he grows up, the answer is always the same..."a baseball player."

Which is funny because we don't watch baseball. Or play it.
We are a football family by nature.
And he's mentioned from time to time about wanting to play football for the Hokies when he grows up.
"What position?" we'll ask him.
"I just want to tackle people" he'll say. So appropriate.

But nothing compares with his passion for baseball.

So the time has finally come when he can suit up and play.

And with one practice under his belt, the first game is Saturday.

If what we saw tonight is a taste of what's to come, it's going to be a very entertaining season.

And just in case you were wondering, he's not the only player in the house...

But this one? She is most definitely in a league of her own.
