The Botany Blues...
I don't like science.
As a homeschool mom I probably shouldn't say that out loud but it's true. I just don't like it.
It's messy and my experiments never work.
But, because I have kids who love it, and an obligation to do it, we spent the day planting seeds and dissecting beans all in the name of botany.
It was messy. And the pessimist in me says that nothing we planted will sprout.
But the day was beautiful and I did get a few shots of them enjoying themselves...which is sometimes all that really matters.

Efficiency...
Found these two in the pantry the other morning happily consuming all things carbohydrate...
I admire their ingenuity. Why bother dragging everything 3 feet over to the counter when you can just plop down right where you are? Save your energy for the next great adventure, you know?
It didn't take long, however, before someone realized that my arrival upon the scene meant an end to the impromptu snack time....
And just for the record, the pink shirt is Lia's pajama shirt that she insisted on wearing over her regular shirt.
Just in case an impromptu nap arises I suppose.

The Changing of the Seasons...
...around here also means the dreaded changing out of clothes.
I learned some interesting things about my kids yesterday during this process.
For starters, little Miss still doesn't fill up the tiny 2T shorts that were too big for her last summer.

And her sidekick (at age 4) is currently wearing the same shorts that his 12 year old brother wore last year.
